MAC WISEMAN

Biography Autographed By Mac Wiseman

The hard back 336 page book from Country Music Hall of Famer Mac Wiseman that has just been released!  This book traces Mac Wiseman’s career from the very beginning to his induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame.  It includes some great never before seen photographs and stories that have never been told.  An incredible book by this Country and Bluegrass great artist! Forward by Charlie Daniels!

These books have actually been signed personally by Mac Wiseman!

Since infancy, he’s suffered an impaired leg from polio, but Mac Wiseman had too much backbone not to succeed.  He worked twice as hard as other Appalachian farm boys, then went on to get an education and carve out a career in show business: first as a broadcaster, then as a musician from for pioneers Buddy Starcher, Molly O’ Day, Flatt and Scruggs and Bill Monroe before becoming a solo singer.  He hit his stride with ballads about Davy Crockett and Jimmy Brown The Newsboy.  Behind the scenes, Mac’s produced artists like Reno and Smiley, Cowboy Copas and Bonnie Guitar.  He became a founding father of the Country Music Association; brought the WWVA Wheeling Jamboree back from the brink of bankruptcy and originated the successful Renfro Valley Barn Dance.

As an artist, he reemerged a college circuit favorite; was the first bluegrass artist to tour Europe; recorded with Big Band leader Woody Herman; cut new millennium discs with John Prine, Charlie Daniels, Merle Haggard and did the last recordings with Johnny Cash.  He has been inducted into the Virginia Music Hall of Fame, Bluegrass Music Hall of Honor, National Medal of Arts and the Country Music Hall of Fame.
